General Assistant – Retail Store

About the role

We are looking for a proactive General Assistant to support the daily operations of our retail store. You will ensure the shop is clean, well‑stocked and that every customer receives friendly, efficient service.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers, answer queries and provide assistance to enhance their shopping experience.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards, keeping the store tidy, organized and safe in line with OHASA regulations.
• Receive, unpack and organise stock deliveries, ensuring shelves are fully stocked and merchandise is attractively displayed.
• Collaborate with team members, build positive workplace relationships and contribute to a supportive environment.

Required profile

• Grade 12 Certificate (NQF Level 4) or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a general worker, retail or customer‑service role.
• Resilient, reliable and aligned with company values.
• Basic understanding of OHASA legislation and retail customer‑service practices.
