Head of Community Champions (Operations and Commercial Lead)

About the role

Cleanergy is looking for a dynamic Head of Community Champions to lead sales, marketing and community activation across multiple PimisaGas sites in Zambia. The role combines strategic planning, operational leadership and a strong purpose to expand clean cooking solutions for households, schools and small businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, train and manage site‑based community teams (field agents, ambassadors, demo leads) and define roles, targets and incentive structures.
• Drive the Community Penetration Strategy to achieve at least 80% household coverage in each catchment area.
• Oversee sales of LPG, cooking oil, stoves and accessories, customizing targets per zone using KoboToolbox data.
• Identify and develop institutional partnerships with churches, schools, restaurants and local councils.
• Implement door‑to‑door outreach, cooking demos, gas parties and clean‑cooking days while ensuring brand consistency.
• Monitor performance through weekly meetings, monthly KPI reports and data analysis using KoboToolbox and POS systems.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading community‑focused sales or activation teams.
• Strong ability to set targets, track KPIs and drive results in a multi‑site environment.
• Excellent communication skills for building partnerships with local influencers and institutions.
• Data‑driven mindset with experience using field‑data collection tools.
