Hygiene Manager

About the role

Radisson Hotel Group is looking for a Hygiene Manager in Lusaka, Zambia. The role suits a passionate, detail-oriented professional with a strong commitment to hospitality, food safety, hygiene and quality assurance. It calls for proven experience in food safety audits and compliance management, and the ability to keep the highest standards of hygiene and food safety in a diverse hotel environment.

Required profile

• Valid HACCP certification and at least 2 years of experience in hygiene, food safety or quality assurance in a hotel environment (the text also asks for a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience).
• Diploma or degree in Food Safety, Environmental Health, Public Health, Microbiology, Food Science or a related field.
• Experience managing internal and external audits and food safety inspections, including supplier audits, microbiological monitoring, risk assessments and corrective actions.
• Knowledge of HACCP principles, food safety management systems, sanitation procedures and applicable Zambian food safety, public health and occupational safety requirements.
• Experience conducting hygiene inspections, risk assessments, audits and staff training.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Strong analytical, project management and reporting skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Ability to work in a diverse, dynamic team.

Additional certifications such as ISO 22000 or other recognised food safety, public health or hygiene certifications are a strong advantage.
