Maintenance Handyman – Civil & Mechanical Maintenance

About the role

We are looking for a versatile Maintenance Handyman to support infrastructure across multiple sites. The role involves preventive and corrective work on civil structures, water reticulation systems, welding projects, and mechanical equipment, ensuring all assets operate safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Perform civil works such as concrete repairs, masonry, paving, foundations, drainage and roof maintenance.
• Maintain and repair water supply networks, valves, pumps, geysers, wastewater systems and related plumbing components.
• Carry out ARC, MIG and TIG welding, cutting, brazing and fabricate metal supports, frames and guards.
• Service manual and semi‑hydraulic pallet jacks, gates, hinges, rollers and small pumps.
• Execute preventive maintenance plans and respond to emergency repair requests.
• Follow OHS procedures, keep tools and work areas safe, and document all work performed.
• Perform basic electrical tasks within permissible limits and support site preparations for installations.

Required profile

• Full Grade 12 certificate.
• Craft or trade certificate in Plumbing, Civil Construction, Water Operations, Welding or Metal Fabrication.
• Strong troubleshooting ability and high safety awareness.
• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
