Marketing Associate

About the role

Cleanergy is expanding clean cooking gas across Zambia and seeks a dynamic Marketing Associate to boost brand awareness through on‑the‑ground activations and digital channels. You will split your time between field work in residential neighbourhoods and managing the company’s online presence, taking ownership of campaigns from concept to execution.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise and execute marketing activations in residential areas, including setting up tables, distributing posters and flyers, and coordinating community events.
• Manage and grow Cleanergy’s social media pages by creating engaging content, responding to inquiries and monitoring performance.
• Design simple marketing collateral such as posters, flyers, banners and digital graphics using Canva or Adobe Suite.
• Identify high‑traffic locations for outdoor signage and coordinate placement.
• Work closely with the sales team to align marketing activities with lead generation and agent recruitment.
• Coordinate the tele‑marketing team and track the effectiveness of all marketing initiatives.
• Maintain records of marketing spend, activity outcomes and provide regular field feedback.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years experience in field marketing, brand activation or community engagement (FMCG, energy, telecoms preferred).
• Self‑starter with strong communication and customer‑service skills.
• Comfortable working daily in neighbourhoods, at events and engaging the public.
• Creative mindset, able to deliver impactful initiatives on a limited budget.
• Fluent in English and Nyanja or Bemba.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications or related field is a plus.
