MFA CSSP/CP Projects Manager

About the role

The MFA CSSP/CP Projects Manager will lead the implementation of two Finland‑funded programmes – child protection and child‑sensitive social protection – across multiple districts in Zambia. Reporting to the Head of Programs and Operations, the manager will oversee project teams, partner organisations and ensure that project goals are met on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of MFA‑Finland funded CSSP and CP projects, managing work plans, budgets, procurement and HR planning.
• Act as the primary budget holder, coordinating with Finance for planning, tracking, forecasting and cash‑flow management.
• Ensure accurate and timely donor and internal reporting, including narrative, financial and performance indicators.
• Manage partnerships with implementing and non‑state partners, conducting capacity assessments, developing agreements and monitoring compliance.
• Supervise project staff (Coordinator, MEAL Officer, Project Officer, Facilitator), set performance objectives and provide coaching and mentorship.
• Oversee financial management to meet donor policies, support audits and maintain 100% burn‑rate targets.
• Guide monitoring and evaluation activities, ensuring baseline, midline and end‑line assessments and integrating learning into project adaptations.
