Microwave Product Manager

About the role

The Microwave Product Manager will drive the regional product strategy, lifecycle management and pre‑sales technical alignment for Huawei’s microwave portfolio across Southern Africa. The role focuses on translating operator requirements into market‑driven solutions and supporting client engagements in neighbouring markets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute product strategies that meet the technical and commercial needs of Southern African telecom operators.
• Engage with customers to gather network specifications and design customized microwave solution proposals.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of microwave products, from deployment through retirement planning.
• Provide technical support, product enablement and training for key accounts and internal commercial teams.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and network evolution to identify new revenue opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Communication Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least three years of experience in microwave solutions, technical marketing or pre‑sales engineering.
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
• Willingness to travel short‑ to mid‑term across neighbouring countries.
• Eligibility: Zambian citizenship or local residency.
