Transmission Network Product Manager

About the role

The Transmission Network Product Manager will lead the market positioning and growth of DWDM/IP solutions across Southern‑African multi‑country markets. You will combine technical expertise with commercial acumen to shape strategy, engage key telecom operators, and drive revenue for transmission network products.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute market and sales strategies for DWDM/IP, OTN and POTN solutions.
• Engage telecom operators, present value propositions and tailor solutions to meet technical and business needs.
• Lead bid strategy, support contract negotiations and identify new business opportunities to increase market share.
• Collaborate with solution architects, sales teams and channel partners, providing technical consultation and commercial guidance.
• Oversee end‑to‑end project execution, ensuring seamless deployment, performance monitoring and customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in transmission network solutions and sales, focusing on DWDM/IP, OTN and POTN.
• Proven track record working with telecom operators, ICT providers or system integrators.
• Familiarity with RFX processes, type‑approval procedures and network deployment strategies.
