Occupational Health Nurse (LEP) – Fixed Term

About the role

The Lumwana Expansion Project Team is looking for a dedicated Occupational Health Nurse (LEP) on a fixed‑term basis. Reporting to the Medical Doctor – LEP, you will provide high‑quality health services to employees, partners and other stakeholders within a mining environment.

Key responsibilities

• Register clients, enter and maintain data in electronic health record (EHR) systems accurately and promptly.
• Assist clients with documentation for occupational health examinations.
• Perform and interpret spirometry, audiometry and vision tests, including otoscopic examinations after training.
• Upload screening results to EHR, ensure all client files contain required consent forms, pre‑employment, periodic and exit examinations, laboratory results, fitness‑to‑work certificates and injury reports.
• Schedule and conduct timely follow‑up assessments and visits.
• Adhere to infection‑control policies and any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Grade 12 certificate and a Diploma in Registered Nursing.
• Minimum three (3) years of relevant experience.
• Paid membership of the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ).
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
