Planner, Rotable Components

About the role

The Planner, Rotable is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of rotatable and repairable components for a process plant. The role ensures that the right parts are available at the right time, in the right condition, and at optimal cost to support maintenance, shutdowns, and reliability initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a rotable component plan aligned with the 12‑month maintenance strategy, 4‑month forecast, 4‑week schedule and approved shutdown plans.
• Translate component replacement forecasts into actionable plans covering inspection, repair, refurbishment, procurement, kitting, delivery and return‑to‑stock.
• Monitor stock levels, repair cycle status, lead times and critical component availability to minimise downtime.
• Manage component lifecycle through the approved rotable application, CMMS and warehouse systems, including tagging, serialization and material movements.
• Maintain an accurate database of OEM part numbers, serial numbers, fitment history, repair history, warranty status and vendor details.
• Coordinate with maintenance, reliability, warehouse, procurement, planning and vendors to ensure timely inspection, repair and return of items.
• Expedite repairs, escalate risks and provide status updates to end users and maintenance leadership.
• Verify specifications, drawings, safety data sheets and vendor quotations to ensure compliance with OEM and site requirements.
• Support QA/QC inspections of repaired components and track vendor performance and warranty claims.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of rotatable and repairable component management in an industrial or process‑plant environment.
• Experience with maintenance planning, inventory control and shutdown coordination.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional teams and external vendors.
• Attention to detail and commitment to health, safety, environment and quality standards.
