Procurement Officer – Kapiri Operations

About the role

The Mid‑Senior Procurement Officer will lead procurement and inventory coordination for the Kapiri operation, ensuring that fleet spares, workshop consumables, fuel and other operational materials are available to keep transport and maintenance activities running smoothly across Zambia and regional routes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily procurement activities in line with approved procedures and governance controls.
• Source and coordinate purchase of trucks, trailers, workshop items, tyres, fuel and other operational support items through approved supplier channels.
• Enforce the “No PO No Purchase” principle and maintain complete documentation, approvals and audit trails.
• Monitor stock levels, plan replenishment and ensure critical spares and consumables are always available.
• Handle emergency procurement and breakdown support while maintaining cost control.
• Collaborate with workshop, operations and stores teams to plan and execute procurement needs.
• Process Goods Receipts, Purchase Orders, supplier invoices and ensure alignment between SAP and operational systems.
• Support integration between SAP and Fleet Maintenance Pro (FMP) for accurate inventory control.

Required profile

• Strong operational understanding of transport and fleet maintenance environments.
• Technical procurement capability with experience in high‑pressure settings.
• Familiarity with procurement governance, inventory control and audit compliance.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate cross‑functional teams.
