About the role
The Procurement Specialist (Officer) will lead sourcing and supplier management activities for domestic and cross‑border carriers. You will ensure cost‑effective procurement while maintaining high quality and compliance standards.
Key responsibilities
- Source and qualify carriers, maintain supplier profiles, and conduct regular audits and performance reviews.
- Manage the full bidding cycle – from inquiry and price comparison to negotiation and award – to control costs and drive efficiency.
- Ensure strict adherence to company procurement policies and maintain complete documentation for audit readiness.
- Collaborate with dispatch, fleet, warehousing, and finance teams to streamline procurement, transportation, and financial settlement processes.
- Prepare procurement data and cost‑analysis reports, handle supplier complaints, and coordinate replacements when needed.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Procurement, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business Administration.
- 1‑3 years of procurement experience in logistics or transportation.
- Strong negotiation, cost‑control, and supplier‑development capabilities.
- High integrity, detail‑orientation, and solid data‑analysis and writing skills.
- Familiarity with Zambian procurement regulations is a plus.
