Project Electrical Control & Instrumentation Engineer (Fixed‑Term)

About the role

The Lumwana Expansion Department is seeking a Project Electrical Control & Instrumentation Engineer to lead the execution of non‑process electrical infrastructure. This fixed‑term position will oversee construction, commissioning, and hand‑over of 33 kV overhead lines, remote substations, dewatering systems, and camp power networks across the mine site.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight of all non‑process electrical works, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, standards and codes.
• Own the execution of 33 kV overhead‑line networks, including poles, conductors, insulators, earthing, protection, metering, testing and energisation.
• Manage OPGW fibre‑optic communications infrastructure and its integration with substations, telecoms and control systems.
• Coordinate construction and commissioning of remote substations and associated 33 kV, 11 kV and LV distribution systems.
• Oversee electrical aspects of open‑pit dewatering pumps, Tailings Storage Facility booster stations and related control/telemetry interfaces.
• Supervise camp electrical infrastructure, including 11 kV networks, mini‑substations, LV distribution and generator plants.

Required profile

• Proven experience in electrical construction and commissioning within large‑scale industrial or mining projects.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage geographically dispersed work fronts.
• Excellent coordination abilities across power, communications, civil and operational interfaces.
• Commitment to safety, integrity and sustainable project delivery.
