Quality Manager – Zambia

About the role

The Quality Manager will lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) for BIA Group in Zambia and its Component Rebuild Centre (CRC). The role ensures compliance with ISO 9001, Dealer Operational Standards (DOS) and company requirements while driving high customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy and maintain the QMS across Zambia and the CRC.
• Lead local quality stakeholders, providing coaching, organization and leadership.
• Develop, monitor and report quality KPIs and dashboards.
• Create and publish quality documentation (processes, procedures, standards) on the intranet.
• Implement DOS and conduct internal, supplier and third‑party audits.
• Manage customer care monitoring, address complaints and drive corrective actions.
• Oversee quality standards for component rebuild activities, inspections, testing and final release.
• Lead root‑cause analysis of quality issues, premature failures and warranty claims.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and conduct audits.
• Ensure calibration of tools, equipment and test benches, and maintain accurate records in SAP.
• Coach and develop quality officers, inspectors and other stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management or a related field.
• Proven experience leading quality teams and conducting audits.
• Strong analytical abilities for KPI monitoring and root‑cause analysis.
