Reliability & Asset Management Senior Engineer – Electrical & Instrumentation

About the role

The Reliability & Asset Management Senior Engineer will lead the reliability and asset management programme for electrical and instrumentation equipment at a smelter environment. Reporting to the Asset Management team, the role combines strategic oversight of asset health with hands‑on implementation of digital maintenance platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Support implementation and maintenance of the Smelter Asset Management Framework and related standards.
• Develop and keep accurate asset registers and equipment hierarchies in Pronto.
• Monitor asset health indicators, identify deterioration trends and trigger maintenance interventions.
• Lead reliability monitoring of HV/LV systems, MCCs, transformers, PLC, DCS, SCADA and field instrumentation through KPI tracking and data analysis.
• Conduct Root Cause Failure Analyses (RCFA) and Failure Modes and Effects Analyses (FMEA) and drive improvement initiatives.
• Produce periodic reliability, availability, maintainability and utilization reports for management.
• Design and maintain asset health indices and predictive models using equipment age, thickness test data and operating history.
• Support rollout of digital maintenance platforms such as OnPlan and generate Power BI dashboards and KPI scorecards.

Required profile

• Senior‑level engineering experience in electrical and instrumentation asset management within an industrial setting.
• Proven ability to analyse large data sets, identify reliability risks and implement preventive or predictive maintenance strategies.
• Strong communication skills to lead cross‑functional investigations and present findings to senior management.
