Senior Finance Manager

About the role

We are partnering with a leading international business to appoint a Senior Finance Manager who will support a growing portfolio of energy projects in Zambia. This high‑impact role offers exposure across development, construction, and operational phases, placing you at the centre of project delivery and financial control.

Key responsibilities

• Manage construction‑phase financials, including budgeting, cost tracking, and reporting.
• Oversee cash‑flow forecasting and project‑level financial performance.
• Prepare and manage lender reporting, drawdowns, and covenant compliance.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure IFRS‑compliant reporting.
• Lead month‑end, audit, and statutory reporting processes.
• Manage treasury activities, including payments and banking relationships.
• Oversee tax compliance (corporate tax, VAT, WHT).
• Support project teams and business development with financial and tax input.
• Ensure robust internal controls and governance frameworks.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACCA, CA, or equivalent).
• 7–10+ years of experience in a finance role.
• Strong exposure to infrastructure, energy, or project‑based environments.
• Experience with project finance, lender engagement, construction or capital project accounting, cash‑flow forecasting linked to financial models, and a solid understanding of financial reporting, tax, and compliance.
• Advanced Excel skills.
