Service Technician – Crushing Solutions

About the role

As a member of the Service Team, you will provide aftermarket maintenance and technical support for Sandvik Rock Processing equipment across Zambia. The role is based in Solwezi and involves on‑site work at customer mines as well as at our local office.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver customer training and technical service for all Sandvik crushers supplied in Zambia.
• Perform mechanical and process maintenance, installation and commissioning of new equipment at mine sites.
• Identify, report and resolve technical issues safely and efficiently, including fault diagnosis and repair.
• Support customers’ maintenance teams with hands‑on troubleshooting, hydraulic repair and automation setup.
• Collaborate with sales and customers to promote crushing solutions and manage parts planning.

Required profile

• Qualified Mechanical Technician, Fitter, Boilermaker or Diesel Mechanic.
• Minimum 5 years experience servicing mineral processing and fixed‑plant equipment in the mining industry.
• Valid passport and driver’s licence accepted in Zambia, with ability to travel on short notice.

Required skills

• Mechanical maintenance of crushing and screening equipment.
• Hydraulic repair and troubleshooting.
• Automation setup, fault diagnosis and problem solving.
• Knowledge of crushing and screening operations in surface and underground mines.
