Service Technician – Crushing Solutions

About the role

As a member of the Service Team, you will provide aftermarket maintenance and technical support for Sandvik Rock Processing equipment, focusing on crushing solutions for customers across Zambia. The position is based in Solwezi and involves both on‑site work at customer mines and support from the company office.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver customer training and technical services for all Sandvik crushers supplied in Zambia.
• Perform mechanical and process maintenance at mine sites, primarily in Northwest Zambia and the Copperbelt region.
• Identify, report and resolve technical issues safely and efficiently.
• Install, commission and provide hands‑on support for new Sandvik equipment.
• Collaborate with customers’ installation and maintenance teams for fault diagnosis, repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Support sales efforts by promoting crushing solutions equipment and aftermarket parts.

Required profile

• Qualified Mechanical Technician, Fitter, Boilermaker or Diesel Mechanic.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience servicing mineral processing and fixed‑plant equipment in the mining industry.
• Experience with crushing and screening operations in both surface and underground environments.
• Valid passport and driver’s licence accepted in Zambia, with ability to travel on short notice.
