Stock Controller – Inventory & Quality Management

About the role

The Stock Controller is responsible for overseeing all inventory movements of harvested fish from receiving through processing, storage and dispatch. The role ensures accurate records, compliance with quality and safety standards, and supports the supply chain with timely reporting and analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Manage inventory transactions across receiving, grading, counting, packing, storage and dispatch using Sage and Power BI.
• Conduct daily stock checks, cycle counts and reconciliations with Stock Clerks; resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Generate harvest receipts, process sales, donations and canteen transactions, and ensure data synchronization with the D&A team.
• Perform weekly and monthly stock counts in processing warehouses and investigate variances.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance to monitor storage conditions, report contamination risks and support corrective actions.
• Analyse inventory levels, identify slow‑moving stock, and produce Sage reconciliation, stock movement and consolidated reports.
• Supervise a team of six data capturers, overseeing data capture processes and compliance.
• Maintain regulatory documentation for food safety and HACCP compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management or a related field (Master’s degree optional).
