Trade Marketing Intern

About the role

British American Tobacco Zambia is looking for a motivated Trade Marketing Intern to join its Kasama team for a one‑year program. You will support the translation of corporate strategy into actionable marketing plans that increase brand penetration and ROI across the Northern Province.

Key responsibilities

• Convert BAT’s corporate strategy into a territory‑specific marketing strategy that drives brand growth.
• Implement the marketing strategy and global initiatives within the assigned region.
• Conduct continuous marketing evaluation and innovation to improve availability, communication, pricing and brand image.
• Ensure compliance with the Responsible Marketing Framework and promote productivity gains.
• Track personal KPIs, monitor results and manage the allocated trade‑marketing budget.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by the line manager.

Required profile

• Degree in Marketing, Business or a related field; ZAQA‑certified qualification.
• Self‑disciplined, organized, self‑starter and results‑oriented.
• Ability to resolve trade conflicts and build relationships with external stakeholders.
• Valid driver’s licence with driving experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
