Truck Driver (Full-time, Lusaka)

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site position is based in Lusaka and involves operating company trucks to transport goods safely and efficiently. The driver will follow assigned routes, maintain delivery schedules, and uphold Amaans Logistics’ standards for safety and customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Operate company trucks to transport goods to designated locations, following assigned routes and schedules.
• Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections and report any mechanical issues.
• Ensure proper loading and unloading of cargo, securing loads safely.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and comply with traffic and safety regulations.
• Communicate with dispatch, report vehicle issues, and uphold professional customer service.

Required profile

• Valid CDL Class A license with proven safe operation of heavy trucks.
• Clean driving record and strong awareness of road safety practices.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and transport compliance requirements.
• Ability to perform basic truck inspections and promptly report maintenance needs.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow dispatch instructions.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
• Physical ability to handle manual tasks such as lifting and securing loads.
