Truck Driver – Full‑time (Lusaka)

About the role

Daily The Nation is seeking a full‑time, on‑site Truck Driver to transport newspapers and related materials across Lusaka. The role involves safe vehicle operation, timely deliveries, and coordination with the logistics team.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and follow optimal delivery routes to distribution centres and vendors.
• Load and unload printed materials, ensuring they are handled safely.
• Perform basic vehicle inspections and routine maintenance checks.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and comply with all traffic and transportation regulations.
• Coordinate with dispatch or logistics staff and keep the truck clean and well‑maintained.

Required profile

• Professional driving skills with a clean driving record.
• Valid CDL Class A license and knowledge of DOT (or local) regulations.
• Reliability in time management and adherence to delivery schedules.
• Physical ability to lift and move bundles of newspapers.
• Good communication skills and ability to work cooperatively with logistics teams.
