Zambia Ag Partnership and Development Lead

About the role

One Acre Fund Zambia is scaling its impact to reach over 50,000 smallholder farmers by 2030. The Ag Partnership and Development Lead will drive program strategy, market development, and strategic partnerships to expand the farmer base, grow the agroforestry program, and implement a Green Climate Fund grant.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new partnership opportunities aligned with OAF Zambia’s integrated farm system model.
• Manage partnership agreements, reporting, and relationships with grant providers and business development teams.
• Provide agricultural expertise on crop diversification, product strategy, market dynamics, and regulatory changes.
• Conduct market scoping for high‑value crops such as horticulture and tree crops.
• Collaborate with global sourcing to secure competitive seed and fertilizer supplies, build supplier relationships, and mitigate supply risks.
• Support tree seed supply chain development with aggregators and government agencies.
• Manage government tender relationships and represent OAF on industry bodies and forums.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in agricultural development, partnership building, or related fields.
• Deep knowledge of Zambia’s agricultural sector, including crop diversification and agroforestry.
• Proven ability to lead strategic initiatives and work with government and donor partners.
• Strong analytical skills to assess market viability and supply chain risks.
