Agronomy Intern

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Agronomy Intern to support our Crop Science and Seed Processing operations. You will work closely with field teams, sales representatives, and emerging farmers to plan, execute, and monitor agronomy trials and demonstration plots.

Key responsibilities

• Select suitable trial sites and cooperators.
• Establish and manage research and agronomy trials.
• Collect, record, and report trial data.
• Support high‑ticket expo plots and product launch sites.
• Inspect and report on the quality of demos and trials.
• Assist with harvesting of agronomy trials.
• Provide training and technical support to sales representatives, customers, and emerging farmers.
• Promote and participate in value‑adding collaborations and partnerships.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, or a related field.
• 0–1 year of relevant experience.
• Strong analytical ability and good knowledge of agronomy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Membership of the Agricultural Institute of Zambia (AIZ) is a plus.
