Application Support Engineer – Remote – $60,000/year

About the role

We are looking for an Application Support Engineer who thrives on solving ambiguous, high‑complexity tickets. Working remotely, you will combine deep technical troubleshooting with AI tools to deliver accurate solutions while maintaining ownership from start to finish.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve escalated customer issues by reproducing errors, analyzing logs, tracking API calls and examining JSON payloads.
• Distinguish between HTTP status codes (401, 404, 429) and identify root‑cause across mis‑configured systems.
• Leverage AI assistants as a diagnostic instrument, validating and challenging generated suggestions.
• Collaborate across Slack channels, knowledge bases and configuration files to gather evidence before escalation.
• Compose clear, tension‑reducing communications for customers and hand‑off documentation for subsequent agents or AI workflows.

Required profile

• Comfortable operating in unclear situations with conflicting evidence and upset customers.
• Strong judgment under uncertainty and a preference for tackling unsolved problems.
• Self‑motivated, able to remove personal blockers without heavy manager reliance.
• Willingness to become proficient with multiple products within a short onboarding period.
