Business Development Manager

About the role

The Business Development Manager will work remotely to drive growth for Uwezo Business Consultants by identifying, developing, and managing new business opportunities across diverse industries.

Key responsibilities

• Research target markets and generate qualified leads.
• Build and nurture relationships with prospective and existing clients.
• Prepare proposals, pitch presentations, and client‑facing materials.
• Collaborate with internal consultants and subject‑matter experts to align services with client needs.
• Manage the sales pipeline, conduct virtual meetings and negotiations, and track performance metrics.
• Provide regular reports and insights to leadership.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management within consulting or professional services.
• Strong lead‑generation, prospecting, and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to develop and deliver persuasive presentations, proposals, and pitches.
• Solid understanding of basic business and financial concepts, market analysis, and competitive positioning.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
• Comfortable working remotely with strong organization and self‑motivation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience in consulting, professional services, or B2B environments is highly beneficial.
