Business Development Officer – ZRA Training Centre

About the role

The Business Development Officer will support the Business Development Manager in expanding the Zambia Revenue Authority Training Centre’s client base, creating new revenue streams, and strengthening strategic partnerships. This role combines market research, client relationship management, and digital marketing to drive growth.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and implement new business opportunities across the Training Centre.
• Generate leads and maintain a database of potential clients through personal selling, networking, events, digital marketing and referrals.
• Design and manage a monthly social media content calendar to boost engagement on digital platforms.
• Create website content and collaborate with influencers to broaden the Authority’s reach.
• Manage key client relationships, ensuring long‑term satisfaction and retention.
• Build and maintain a network of industry contacts, professional bodies and associations.
• Conduct market research, client profiling and analysis of high‑growth opportunities.
• Coordinate with cross‑functional teams such as Finance and Corporate Communications to align business development strategies.
• Maintain accurate records of all business development activities and comply with internal policies.

Required profile

• Highly motivated, result‑oriented professional with a strong interest in business development.
• Well‑qualified and experienced in client acquisition, partnership building and market analysis.
• Excellent communication and networking abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
