Commercial Officer

About the role

The Commercial Officer will support the warehouse and supply‑chain functions by ensuring timely picking, dispatch and accurate inventory management. This role is essential for maintaining efficient stock flow and delivering excellent service to internal end users.

Key responsibilities

• Pick and dispatch items requested by end users promptly.
• Maintain correct storage and handling of all warehouse goods.
• Update all stock movements (binning, issuing, transfers) in the Pronto system quickly and accurately.
• Ensure issue documentation is signed off and records are kept up to date.
• Keep the warehouse environment safe, clean and organized.
• Control and secure inventory and equipment such as forklifts, pallet stackers and hand trucks.
• Bin received items in their designated locations and update the system accordingly.
• Participate in cycle counts/stock takes and resolve any discrepancies.
• Perform any additional tasks delegated by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Two years of relevant experience in a supply‑chain or warehouse environment.
• Grade 12 (or equivalent) qualification.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in the Pronto inventory management system.
