Commercial Officer – Warehouse Operations

About the role

The Commercial Officer will support the warehouse team by ensuring timely picking, issuing and dispatch of items to end‑users. You will maintain accurate stock records in the Pronto system and uphold a safe, clean working environment.

Key responsibilities

• Pick and dispatch items requested by end users promptly.
• Bin, issue, transfer and cycle count stock, keeping the Pronto system up‑to‑date.
• Maintain correct storage, handling and documentation of all warehouse goods.
• Control and secure warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet stackers and hand trucks.
• Participate in stock takes and resolve any discrepancies quickly.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures and keep the warehouse tidy.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience in a supply‑chain or warehouse environment.
• Grade 12 (or equivalent) education; CIPS Level 3 certificate or equivalent is a plus.
• Ability to work independently, think proactively and deliver excellent customer service.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in the Pronto inventory management system.
• Forklift operation and handling of other warehouse equipment.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations.
