Cook – Facilities & Services (Kansanshi)

About the role

First Quantum is looking for a dedicated Cook to join the Facilities & Services team at the Kansanshi site. You will be responsible for daily kitchen operations, ensuring high‑quality food preparation, hygiene, and guest satisfaction in the Inyati Guestrooms area.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare fresh ingredients and final dishes following recipes and portion standards.
• Bake, grill, steam, boil, and fry meats, vegetables, fish, poultry and other foods.
• Present, garnish and arrange dishes for service.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment, handling utensils, equipment and dishes.
• Store and handle ingredients according to food safety standards.
• Execute opening and closing procedures, set up workstations, and monitor inventory levels.
• Accommodate special guest requests and ensure quality and freshness of all ingredients.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as broilers, ovens, grills and fryers.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade Twelve (12) education; hospitality certification is an advantage.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar hospitality role.
• Hard‑working, dedicated, team‑player, organized, and attentive to detail.
• Good customer service skills and a sober character.

Required skills

• Operation of POS (Point of Sale) systems.
• Proficiency with kitchen equipment: broilers, ovens, grills, fryer.
