Cook – Facilities & Services (Kansanshi)

About the role

First Quantum is looking for a dedicated Cook to join the Inyati Guestrooms team at the Kansanshi site. You will manage daily kitchen operations, ensuring high‑quality food preparation and strict hygiene standards in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare fresh ingredients and final dishes following recipes, measuring, weighing and mixing accurately.
• Bake, grill, steam, boil meats, vegetables, fish, poultry and other foods.
• Present, garnish and arrange dishes; occasionally serve food to guests.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area; handle, store and sanitize utensils, equipment and dishes.
• Execute opening and closing procedures, set up workstations, and monitor inventory levels.
• Check quality and freshness of ingredients and accommodate special guest requests.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as broilers, ovens, grills and fryers.

Required profile

• Minimum Grade Twelve (12) education; hospitality certification is an advantage.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar hospitality kitchen role.
• Hard‑working, dedicated, team‑player with an organized and outgoing personality.
• Attention to detail, good customer service skills and a sober character.

Required skills

• Baking, grilling, steaming and boiling techniques.
• Food safety and sanitation standards.
• Operation of kitchen equipment (broilers, ovens, grills, fryers).
