Developer Trainee (13 positions) – Grade ZRA06

About the role

The Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) is seeking highly motivated individuals to join its Innovation and Project Management function as Developer Trainees. Reporting to the Senior Systems Developer, you will contribute to the design, development, and integration of computer systems that support revenue collection and tax compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement computer systems in line with ZRA’s standards and business needs.
• Document all system development activities according to prescribed methodologies.
• Strengthen existing information systems and coordinate integration across ZRA platforms.
• Create and enforce IT system development standards and procedures.
• Test system enhancements and amendments before deployment.

Required profile

• Grade Twelve (or equivalent) with at least five credits including Mathematics and English.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum two years of relevant post‑qualifying experience as a developer.
• Valid membership of ICTAZ or another recognised professional body.
• High level of integrity, strong analytical ability and teamwork orientation.
