Dewatering Superintendent

About the role

The Dewatering Superintendent joins the technical team to lead the design, installation, operation and maintenance of pump infrastructure supporting dewatering activities at Trident’s mining operations. Reporting to the Hydro Manager, the role ensures efficient, reliable and safe pump systems that enable productive mining.

Key responsibilities

• Design and specify dewatering pump systems, including surface and borehole pumps, pipelines, valves, controls and VSD installations.
• Oversee installation, commissioning and maintenance scheduling of pumps and related infrastructure.
• Collaborate with engineers, planners, hydrogeologists and maintenance technicians to optimise system performance.
• Identify and implement improvements in pump efficiency, reliability and safety such as protection circuits and automated cut‑off switches.
• Manage safety compliance for all staff and contractors, ensuring induction and risk management.
• Plan and execute relocation of dewatering infrastructure in coordination with Mine Planning.

Required profile

• Proven experience in dewatering projects and pump system management within a mining environment.
• Ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams and lead contractor activities.
• Strong focus on safety, quality and project delivery on time and within budget.
