Dispatch Specialist – Transportation Scheduling

About the role

The Dispatch Specialist is responsible for coordinating daily transportation activities to ensure goods are delivered safely and on time. This role works closely with drivers, warehouse staff, and logistics managers to optimise routes and maintain smooth operations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and schedule transportation tasks, balancing efficiency and delivery deadlines.
• Coordinate drivers, vehicles, and warehouse resources to optimise routes.
• Monitor ongoing transports, address issues promptly, and provide feedback to stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records in the dispatch system, ensuring data integrity and timeliness.
• Participate in cost‑analysis initiatives and suggest improvements to reduce operational expenses.

Required profile

• Associate's degree or higher in Logistics Management, Transportation, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in logistics dispatch or a similar role.
• Knowledge of domestic transportation regulations and road conditions.
• Strong communication and coordination abilities, especially in unexpected situations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with dispatch systems.
• Competence in standard office software.
