Driver (G-2) – Fixed Term – Lusaka, Zambia

About the role

The Driver (G-2) provides reliable and safe transportation for UNICEF staff, officials and visitors in Lusaka. This fixed‑term role supports the efficient operation of the office by ensuring vehicles are available, well‑maintained and compliant with local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Transport UN staff, officials, visitors and small parcels to and from work assignments.
• Deliver and collect mail, documents and other items as required.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, perform routine checks and arrange timely maintenance.
• Keep accurate vehicle logs and ensure compliance with Zambian traffic rules and UNICEF protocols.
• Support office logistics by preparing vehicles for scheduled trips.

Required profile

• High sense of responsibility, discretion and integrity.
• Ability to work with people from diverse national and cultural backgrounds.
• Good knowledge of local driving rules and protocol.
• Client‑oriented attitude and strong sense of duty.
• Valid driver’s licence appropriate for the vehicle class used.
