Earthworks Supervisor (Person In Charge)

About the role
The Person In Charge will supervise Earthworks crews, ensuring that all activities meet production and safety standards while supporting the overall objectives of the Earthworks Operations team.
Key responsibilities
- Work with the Earthwork Operations team to optimise equipment use in the assigned area.
- Demonstrate leadership and supervise resources allocated within the area of responsibility.
- Uphold safety standards in accordance with company policy and procedures.
- Supervise a team of operators during day‑to‑day operations.
- Report to the Foreman Operations as the direct supervisor.
- Ensure all pre‑start checklists are accurately completed and signed by operators.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the direct supervisor.
Required profile
- Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate or equivalent.
- Certificate in Earthworks and Construction or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in the field.
- Prior experience in similar roles within the construction industry.
- Proven track record of supervising and managing people.
