Engineering Manager – Mining Operations

About the role

Lumwana Mining Company is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the engineering and maintenance function for both the fixed plant (copper process plant) and the mobile equipment fleets. This transformational role will drive the site from its current state to a world‑class asset, supporting a period of rapid growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all engineering and maintenance activities across fixed plant and mobile fleets, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
• Develop and execute engineering strategies, maintenance programmes, and capital projects to maximise asset performance and meet production targets.
• Promote safety, health, and environmental compliance, and champion emission‑reduction initiatives.
• Drive a step‑change in asset reliability, moving from reactive to predictive maintenance models.
• Build and develop a larger, capable local engineering organisation and foster strong partnerships across the site.
• Ensure compliance with mining legislation, engineering standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
