Finance Assistant – 12‑month Fixed‑Term (Lusaka)

About the role

Sightsavers Zambia is looking for a Finance Assistant to support the Finance and Support Services Manager in day‑to‑day financial operations. The role involves working closely with the country office team, regional colleagues and global finance partners to ensure accurate budgeting, reporting and fund administration.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse invoices, prepare payment vouchers and cheques for approval.
• Process payments to suppliers and ensure timely disbursement.
• Assist in the preparation of project documents, budgets and forecasts.
• Support the design process for the country office by contributing financial data and projections.
• Administer day‑to‑day fund management, monitoring cash flow and ensuring compliance with internal controls.

Required profile

• Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple teams across the country office, region and globally.
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles and fund management.
