Finance Director

About the role

The Finance Director will lead the finance function of KMTR, a strategic cross‑border transport corridor linking the DRC Copperbelt with Zambia and regional trade routes. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the role combines financial stewardship with oversight of administrative services to ensure the concession’s long‑term sustainability and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the company’s financial strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Advise the General Manager on financial planning, investment decisions, and performance monitoring.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, long‑term financial planning and drive cost‑optimization initiatives.
• Ensure accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance, and robust internal controls.
• Oversee treasury functions, cash‑flow management, working‑capital optimisation and tax administration.
• Manage relationships with banks, auditors, tax authorities, shareholders and external advisors.
• Support financing activities and reporting requirements.
• Lead, develop and mentor the finance team while fostering a culture of accountability.
• Oversee administrative services, office administration and corporate services supporting the concession.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior finance leadership, preferably within infrastructure, transport or engineering projects.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, treasury management, tax regulations and statutory compliance.
• Demonstrated ability to work as a trusted business partner to senior management.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience handling banks, auditors and tax authorities.
• Leadership experience in building and developing high‑performing finance teams.
