General Assistant – Retail Support

About the role

We are looking for a proactive General Assistant to join our retail team and help deliver an exceptional shopping experience. You will be at the heart of daily store operations, ensuring a clean environment, well‑stocked shelves, and satisfied customers.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional manner.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards in line with OHASA regulations.
• Receive, unpack, and organize stock deliveries.
• Keep shelves fully stocked and products attractively displayed.
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive workplace culture.

Required profile

• Grade 12 Certificate (NQF Level 4) or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a general worker or similar role.
• Strong communication, active listening, and time‑management abilities.
• Attention to detail, problem‑solving skills, and reliability.
• Basic understanding of OHASA legislation and retail customer‑service practices.
