General Manager Finance

About the role

The General Manager Finance provides strategic financial guidance to senior leadership, overseeing all finance and accounting functions across a multi‑site organization. This senior role drives financial planning, reporting, risk management, and technology initiatives to support business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead finance and accounting operations including general ledger, AP/AR, fixed assets, payroll, and reconciliations.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports in line with International Accounting Standards.
• Develop and enforce financial policies, procedures, internal controls and improve reporting efficiency.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow projections and working‑capital optimization.
• Conduct financial analysis to support board‑level decision‑making.
• Oversee annual audit, coordinate with external auditors and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain banking relationships, manage treasury activities and monitor financial risks.
• Ensure tax compliance, statutory filings and government reporting.
• Supervise ICT operations, lead ERP (SAP or similar) and digital transformation projects.
• Mentor and develop finance and cross‑functional teams, driving continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting or related field.
• Professional qualification (CA, CIMA, ACCA) preferred.
• 20+ years of finance & accounting experience with senior management exposure.
• Experience in large‑scale, multinational or multi‑site organisations.
• Proven track record in budgeting, reporting, audits, taxation, treasury and risk management.
• Experience overseeing ICT functions and ERP systems.
• Strong leadership and team‑development capabilities.
