HR Manager – Employee Relations Focus

About the role
The company is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead employee relations initiatives within its Lusaka South Multi‑Facility Economic Zone operation. You will act as the primary point of contact for disciplinary actions, dispute resolution, and compliance with Zambian labour legislation.
Key responsibilities
- Lead employee relations case management, including warnings, disciplinary documents, and performance improvement plans.
- Represent the organisation in labour office matters and coordinate with authorities when cases escalate.
- Oversee full‑cycle recruitment, job description development, competency frameworks and workforce planning.
- Support payroll and benefits administration, reviewing compensation structures to attract and retain talent.
- Ensure HR practices comply with Zambian labour laws; deliver training on policies and disciplinary processes.
- Maintain accurate employee records, HR reports and analyse trends to recommend preventive measures.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role focused on employee relations.
- Proven experience in large‑scale manufacturing (500+ employees) and solid knowledge of Zambian labour law.
- Strong leadership, communication, investigation and problem‑solving abilities.
- Preferred hands‑on experience in recruitment, payroll and benefits administration.
