About the role

The organisation in Lusaka is looking for a dynamic Human Resource and Administration Manager to lead HR strategy, oversee recruitment, performance management, employee relations and compensation, while also managing key administrative functions to ensure an efficient workplace.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HR strategies, policies and practices that support the organisation’s mission, vision and business objectives.
  • Oversee end‑to‑end recruitment, workforce planning, job advertising, selection and onboarding processes.
  • Design, implement and manage a performance management system aligned with organisational goals.
  • Develop and enforce employee relations policies, handle grievances, conflicts and disciplinary matters in compliance with labour law.
  • Manage training and development programmes to build employee capabilities.
  • Oversee compensation and benefits design, ensuring competitiveness and legal compliance.
  • Ensure statutory HR reporting and adherence to all employment regulations.
  • Supervise administration functions including facilities, office supplies and logistics.
  • Lead the optimisation of HR information systems (HRIS) and use HR data analytics for decision‑making.
  • Provide overall supervision to all HR and administration staff in coordination with their immediate supervisors.

Required profile

  • Minimum Grade 12 certificate.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Public Administration or a related field.
  • Master’s degree in HRM or Business Administration (preferred).
  • At least 7 years of HR experience, including a minimum of 4 years in a managerial role.
  • Registered member of the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management (ZIHRM).
