Human Resource Recruitment Supervisor

About the role

The Human Resource Recruitment Supervisor leads the end‑to‑end recruitment lifecycle while overseeing broader HR functions such as employee relations, performance management, and compliance. This role ensures that talent acquisition aligns with business needs and that HR services are delivered efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the full recruitment process, from manpower planning to onboarding.
• Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates within set timelines.
• Coordinate with department managers to understand staffing needs and provide timely recruitment support.
• Maintain candidate databases, recruitment trackers, and hiring reports.
• Conduct reference checks, background verifications, and manage employment documentation.
• Supervise onboarding and orientation to ensure smooth integration of new hires.
• Maintain employee records, contracts, and confidential personnel files.
• Ensure compliance with labour laws, company policies, and HR procedures.
• Monitor attendance, leave, overtime, and disciplinary processes.
• Support payroll preparation through accurate HR data verification.
• Handle employee relations matters, including grievances and conflict resolution.
• Coordinate performance appraisals, monitoring, and development planning.
• Identify training needs and coordinate learning programs.
• Prepare monthly HR reports and statistical data for management.
• Supervise junior HR staff and ensure effective execution of duties.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of HR experience with a strong focus on recruitment and talent acquisition.
• Membership with the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management (ZIHRM) is an advantage.
