IT Technician - CCTV, Networks and Hardware Support

About the role

TestHiring is recruiting a full-time IT Technician in Lusaka, Zambia. The role covers installing, configuring and maintaining IT hardware, CCTV systems and networks, and providing technical support to end users across several company locations.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain computers, servers, printers and other IT hardware.
• Install, monitor and troubleshoot CCTV cameras, NVRs and DVRs.
• Configure and support LAN/WAN networks, Wi-Fi access points, routers, switches and firewalls.
• Provide technical assistance for point-of-sale systems and retail applications.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, internet connectivity and network problems promptly.
• Perform regular system backups, software upgrades and preventive maintenance.
• Monitor network and CCTV system performance across multiple locations.
• Maintain IT equipment inventories and update technical documentation.
• Support end users remotely and on site, and follow IT security policies strictly.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking or a related field.
• At least three years of relevant IT experience, preferably in a retail environment.
• Hands-on experience with CCTV systems, computer networking and hardware maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and travel between company locations; efficient under pressure.
