Junior Procurement Executive

About the role

The Junior Procurement Executive will support the end‑to‑end buying process for a client operating in the retail sector. The role focuses on sourcing, negotiating, ordering and managing suppliers to ensure cost‑effective and timely acquisition of goods and services while adhering to company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with sourcing, negotiating and purchasing a variety of goods and services.
• Support supplier onboarding, maintain communication and monitor performance.
• Prepare and process purchase orders in line with established procedures.
• Monitor stock levels, coordinate replenishment and avoid shortages or overstocking.
• Track delivery schedules, follow up on late or incomplete orders.
• Conduct cost analysis, pricing comparisons and supplier evaluations.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts and related documentation.
• Collaborate with warehouse, finance and retail teams to ensure smooth operations.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in procurement, buying or supply chain; retail experience is a plus.
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
• Good analytical and organisational capabilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with procurement systems.
