Logistics Analyst – Transport Optimization

About the role

The Logistics Analyst will support the Head of Logistics in improving third‑party transport operations, enhancing efficiency, and reducing costs across the plant. This role involves analysing supply chain data, developing performance dashboards, and assisting with demand forecasting and inventory planning.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, analyse, and interpret logistics and supply‑chain data to inform business decisions.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports tracking logistics performance and trends.
• Assist in weekly and monthly demand forecasting and inventory level planning.
• Identify inefficiencies in transportation, warehousing, and inventory management and propose actionable solutions.
• Support contract negotiations and manage relationships with suppliers, carriers, and third‑party logistics providers.
• Own daily, weekly and monthly performance measurement and reporting at departmental and business‑unit levels.
• Conduct customer and segment analysis to guide strategic and tactical interventions.
• Develop and implement data strategies, including automation and modelling, and participate in continuous‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Economics, Statistics or a related discipline.
• Minimum of four years of relevant work experience.
• Understanding of trends, challenges, regulations and legislation in the cement manufacturing industry.
• Good knowledge of DCP’s product and service offerings.
• Strong administration skills with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving and teamwork abilities.
