Medical Mentor – Advanced HIV Disease (AHD)

About the role
The Centre for Infectious Disease Research in Zambia (CIDRZ) is seeking a Medical Mentor to strengthen Advanced HIV Disease (AHD) services across three teaching hospitals in the Copperbelt Province. Reporting to the Provincial Clinical Team Lead, the incumbent will provide on‑site clinical mentorship, support implementation of the full AHD package, and ensure integration with HIV, TB, and maternal‑child health services.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate AHD service delivery with provincial, district and facility teams.
- Provide on‑site clinical mentorship to healthcare workers on AHD screening, diagnosis and treatment.
- Support facilities in implementing national AHD guidelines and the complete AHD service package.
- Facilitate integration of AHD services within HIV, TB, MCH, OPD and other health programs.
- Monitor service quality, coverage and outcomes to meet project targets.
