Mid‑Senior Procurement Officer – Kapiri Operations

About the role

The Mid‑Senior Procurement Officer will manage procurement, inventory coordination and governance for the Kapiri operation, ensuring the availability of fleet spares, workshop consumables, fuel and other operational materials across Zambia and regional routes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily procurement activities for the workshop and operational needs in line with approved procedures and governance controls.
• Source and coordinate purchase of trucks, trailers, workshop equipment, tyres, fuel and support items through approved supplier channels and PO processes.
• Enforce the “No PO No Purchase” principle, maintaining complete documentation, approvals and audit trails.
• Monitor stock levels, plan replenishment and ensure critical spares and consumables are available to avoid downtime.
• Coordinate emergency procurement and breakdown support while controlling costs.
• Process Goods Receipts, Purchase Orders, supplier invoices and ensure alignment between SAP and operational systems.
• Support alignment between SAP and Fleet Maintenance Pro (FMP) for accurate inventory control.

Required profile

• Strong operational understanding of transport and fleet maintenance environments.
• Technical procurement capability with experience in high‑pressure settings where downtime impacts performance.
• Familiarity with SAP procurement modules and inventory governance standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively with workshop, operations and stores teams.
