Operations Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Operations Manager to lead the strategic and operational performance of the Avani Victoria Falls Resort. The role ensures seamless daily operations, exceptional guest experiences, and achievement of financial targets across all hotel functions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with corporate objectives and brand standards.
• Manage departmental budgets, monitor financial performance, and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Recruit, train, develop, and evaluate operations staff, fostering a culture of excellence.
• Oversee daily operations of Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Engineering to ensure consistent service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, security, and environmental regulations.
• Address guest concerns promptly and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct quality assurance inspections and audits to maintain brand standards.
• Manage vendor relationships and supplier contracts for optimal service and cost efficiency.
• Analyze operational metrics and KPIs to drive continuous improvement.
• Prepare and present regular performance reports to senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hotel Management, Hospitality Management or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of managerial experience in hotel or hospitality operations.
• Proven experience in planning and implementing operational strategy.
• Strong expertise in budget management, financial analysis and cost control.
• In‑depth knowledge of health, safety, security and environmental compliance.
• Experience managing multiple departments and cross‑functional teams.
